Hello readers! I’m coming to you from lovely Athens, Ohio! I’m a little over halfway through my very first semester of grad school, and I have to tell you all how much I absolutely love it here. I’m very happy in my program, and so happy to be doing something that I love, writing.
I haven’t had quite as much time for knitting, but I have been sneaking in some time here and there...sometimes even during my office hours.

This is the Uraidla Shawl by Jessica Gore ( Here it is!). I’m making mine in Misti Alpaca in the color Salmon. It’s a rather quick knit when I can sit down and work through it, hopefully I’ll be finished up by the end of the year. (If you’re wondering, my bag is from yellowstitchbags on instagram/Etsy)
I’ve also found a little bit of time for test knitting. The pattern is called Dulwich and is also by Jessica Gore. It’s a hat pattern, but it’s not out on Ravelry yet, but when it appears I’ll update this post. Here it is!

The yarn is Juniper Moon Farms Findley DK in the color Garnet. I actually had go down a needle size, since the one I started with gave me a gauge that was much too loose. Going down a needle size was just the ticket, and now my gauge is exactly where I want it to be.
Hopefully I’ll be able to update more frequently now that I’m in the swing of things. I’ve started knitting on some Christmas presents, so we can talk about those next time. Happy knitting, readers!
