Exciting news

Back in December, I told you all that I wouldn't be going back to school, and instead would be applying for my masters in Creative Writing. I've (finally) started to get some communication back from the schools that I've applied to, and I'm happy to announce that I've been accepted to two schools so far, and I'm still waiting on decisions from three other schools. I haven't committed to anywhere yet, since I'm still waiting on decisions; one of the schools that accepted me was in my top choices, so I'll probably end up there in the fall!

In more knitting related news, I've started another shawl, Solaris by Mairlynd, and it's moving along really quickly!

I'm using Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock in the color Birch, and a Lorna's Laces String Quintet in a special edition colorway called Tale As Old As Time. I picked that String Quintet because it was Beauty and the Beast themed...I haven't seen the movie yet, but I think my mom and I are going to make a date out of it tonight! I had hoped that I might actually be finished before I went to see the movie, but that's not going to happen, so I'll have pretend I'm wearing it when we go to the movies! 

I'm actually at the very end of the third color now, and I think that the Quintet is absolutely perfect with the Sweet Georgia color. 

I'm not looking forward to weaving in all the ends, but I know that it'll be worth it! Until next time, readers!
