Can I wear these knitting pjs all day?

I hope that everyone had a relaxing holiday, and that all of you got your Christmas knitting done, and that the recipients of said knitting were ecstatic! I half finished my Christmas knitting, which means that I finished a hat that I started the day before Christmas, but did not finish the pair of socks that I began, oh I don't know, in June? The hat was for my SO's father, and he absolutely loved it. The socks were supposed to be for my SO, but he's already aware that I'm a knitter who jumps from project to project, and that the possibility of the socks being completed was slim. I can't help it...especially when I order new yarn and I just have to see what it looks like knitted up.

Speaking of new yarn, I received my very first batch of knitting themed gifts this year, and I could not be more excited. I'm usually the one who purchases my own knitting supplies and yarn, and never wanted to cause trouble by casting some poor, unsuspecting family member into the wild world of yarn and knitting-related tools. However, this year was different. Apparently my obsession with knitting hasn't gone unnoticed, since my mother, SO, and my SO's sister all gifted me knitting related items! I did help a tiny little bit by sending a list of things that I already had, so they had something to go off of, but other than that they were pretty much on their own. And I am so thankful and absolutely floored by the gifts I received!

My mother gifted me a gift card to one of my favorite online yarn stores: Eat.Sleep.Knit. I'm super excited about this one because...well...yarn! I'm going to be well stocked with projects and yarn for 2017, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

She also got me knitting themed jammies! I must admit, I did pick these out at Target, but I still had to wait until Christmas eve to wear them!

I've finally got a swift to go along with my ball winder! It makes things about a hundred times easier when winding skeins. Before getting it, I would put the skeins over the back of a computer chair and spin that puppy by hand. It wasn't near as fast, but it worked out okay.

So much yarn! They're all colors that I would have picked myself, and I'm already dreaming about the perfect projects for them!

New needles, circular and double pointed, stitch markers, and darning needles. There was also a hat/fingerless glove pattern included, which might just be made out of the purple cake!

Knitting books! The "Knit Your Own Cat" is my personal favorite, because it's absolutely hilarious. It combines two of my favorite things, and don't be surprised if you start seeing knitted cats pop up in the works in progress page! (Also, bonus real cat in the background!)
