Midterm blues

Next week starts midterm craziness, so I've been devoting most of my time to studying and homework (it's about as fun as it sounds). I've also been charting, charting, charting. It's all for the special project that I talked about in my last post. Are charts ever finished? Or do you just see it sitting there in excel and have a sudden need to change every single thing about it? That's how I feel, which is why my chart is still not finished. I would love to take an entire day to work on the darn thing, but schoolwork definitely has other plans for my time. Aside from charting my life away, I did get a few rows done on my Whorl, and I'm getting so excited to see what it looks like all blocked out. I'm very tempted to soak it and block it now (even though it's nowhere near finished) just to see what the lace looks like. I'll probably be using a technique that I read about on Violently Domestic (that post here) to block it out when it's all finished! It's such an ingenious way to block, and when I read Violently Domestic's post about it I wondered why the heck I never thought of it before! I'm very excited to try that out too, which could be why I want to block the unfinished cowl already! I suppose I'll have to be patient though, and try to finish it quickly! If you have any projects that just beg to be blocked while they're still on the needles, let me know in the comments below!

You can sort of see the leaves thanks to the pumpkin, right? This might have to satisfy my desire for blocking for now!
