Before starting my second ever sock project, My Knitted Heart Vanilla Socks, I discovered that I didn't have the needles that the project called for. I had heard good things about ChiaoGoo, so I decided to go ahead and purchase a pair! I purchased my set off of eBay from a seller named handsomefibers. The needles, a circular set of us 1 (2.25mm) were nine dollars, and the shipping was free, so I ended up paying a total of nine dollars for the needles and the shipping. The shipping was very quick, three or four business days, and the needles were packed very well- they were actually ensconced in three separate packing envelopes Russian doll style! If i wasn't already pleased enough with my purchase, when I took the actual needles out of the package I discovered that the cable was memory free, and the needles had a completely smooth, snag free join. I immediately cast on and fell in love with how easy magic loop became with the memory free cable. I'm still so impressed with these needles and I'm almost to the end of my first sock. I'm definitely considering the full interchangeable set that they have, and maybe even the mini interchangeable set that they just released. The only thing about these needles is that they are very, very sharp. This isn't a bad thing for fine lace knitting or sock knitting, but they definitely will hurt your fingertips if you're a tapper. I'm not going to say that these have completely replaced my addi clicks, but I will say that they're definitely going to be at the top of my list the next time that I need to purchase needles! Happy knitting!
