I've decided to start a new series of monthly updates that has to do with what's currently on my needles. I'm hoping that it will encourage me to actually finish some of the projects that I've been sitting on for an embarrassing amount of time! I'll include links to the Ravelry patterns and mini reviews for each pattern below. Comment your own works in progress (if you have any!)
This is a relatively new project, and I'm absolutely loving it so far! The color work is absolutely gorgeous and I'm so excited to see the finished project all sewn together and blocked out. I'm definitely planning on finishing this project, hopefully by the end of summer!
This is another relatively new project. It's an easy knit, and I've been working on it in between knitting the hexagons for the Persian Dreams. I'm pretty sure I'll be finished with this one in a snap, especially since it's straight stockinette stitch all the way through.
This shawl, while beautiful, has been sort of annoying from the start. I started it last summer while I was in London and I'm in the stages of binding everything off, but I'm afraid that something was off with the gauge and it's much too small. I love the pattern, especially the modified version that gets rid of the leaves on the body of the shawl. I think (unfortunately) that I'm going to have to frog the entire thing and then start over so I'm happy with it.
This is another project that has been on my needles for quite some time. I started this as a Mother's Day gift a few years ago. I'm only about half way through, and before getting that far I restarted about four separate times. I think the problem is the beads that I purchased are too large for the pattern, and this is causing the scarf to sag and look wonky. I think I'm going to try and purchase smaller beads and try my hand at this (rather easy) pattern again.
Ribbed Scarf (This one doesn't have a particular pattern, it's just a simple rib 1x1)
This was supposed to be a teaching scarf, but the person that I was trying to teach gave up trying to learn. I should probably just frog the entire thing and use the yarn for something else, but I haven't quite gotten around to it.
Hopefully by next month, at least some of these projects will have been replaced with other things! If you have any questions or thoughts about the projects above just let me know in the comments! Happy knitting!
